More than once on this page I have referred to a Virgin Megastore located in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, CO. Dusting off the ol' memory a little more, I believe it may have been a Tower Records instead.
Not that this detail affects the discussion of actual music, but I don't want some person from the Denver area stumbling across this and calling me dumb. No, I'm not dumb, just periodically forgetful. ;)

Compulsive Chronicles is an ongoing music column I have with SPOKE(a)N(e) Magazine, and I post supplementary material to the column here. This month I write an open letter to Gavin Rossdale in which I insist he stop making crappy solo albums and just give the guys from Bush a call.
Top 10 Bush Songs
(as of when I made this list)
6. Insect Kin
7. Letting the Cables Sleep
8. Straight No Chaser
9. Distant Voices
Outside of the Top 3, this list is impossible to finalize. To not include anything from Golden State feels wrong, but that's how it goes.
When I had time on my hands, money to drop on lots of magazines, and parents paying for both the fast internet connection and the printer ink, I took the practice of decorating my room to extremes. Semi-seriously called "The Shrine," about 2/3rds of the photos involved Gavin Rossdale/Bush. Yes, kids, it's true. Oasis used to be second banana. Here is a photo taken in my room. It gives you just a fraction of what it looked like.
To view more photos like these, with notes on individual details of the room, please visit my flickr page.
(And yes, I know I'm a little light on content over here this month, but I just finished a respectable draft of a novel, had to do the usual copy editing and writing for the magazine, and I'm going on vacation for 10 days on Saturday. I have laundry to do...)
